When you leave a Wash N’ Go Depot, we guarantee that the exterior of your car will look its very best. But what about its interior? Everyone enjoys driving their car when the inside of it is nice and clean. But how many people always keep the interior of their car nice and clean? Well, not everyone. To keep your vehicle sparkling inside and out, here are some tips that will help you get it done most efficiently.
Start by removing the junk, such as empty food and beverage containers, and other items that don’t belong there. Remember to slide the front seats forward and backward to get at anything hiding underneath. You'll be surprised by the kinds of things—good (loose change) and bad (melted candy)!—that end up under the seats of your car.
Get into the nooks and crannies of the trim lines and recesses by wrapping a cloth around a worn (without sharp edges) screwdriver and spray another all-purpose cleaner on the cloth. Work the brush into the crevices to collect the dust and gunk, refreshing the surface of the cloth as the icky stuff accumulates. Go around all the buttons and controls, too. The windows require only Windex, paper towels and some elbow grease. Don’t overlook those pesky lines of grime at the tops of the windows.
And then we come to the infamous center console, which is a holding pen for just about anything you can imagine. Wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth and work stubborn dirt out with a toothbrush or canned air. After it has dried, use a vacuum to suck up the residue.
Wrap it all up by vacuuming the seats, mats and carpets thoroughly and deeply. Then, voila! You will no longer cringe when getting into your car or be too embarrassed to offer someone a lift.
